The SSYO is a volunteer-run and non-profit corporation. The formal organization for managing this responsibility is discussed under Organization in the SSYO membership booklet. Members and/or parents/guardians are expected to participate in fundraising activities and other SSYO projects and activities and to attend general meetings of the SSYO. Involvement of many volunteers will keep the magnitude of time and effort required by any one person in the organization at a reasonable level.
Anticipated SSYO events and activities for 2020-2021 will be outlined at the first general members meeting TBA at Knox. Members and parents/guardians are encouraged to share their experience and expertise with the SSYO. Members are responsible for payment of fees and levies with parents/guardians expected to provide support for their members, especially when they are under the age of eighteen.
